Retreat Registration

ABOUT THE RETREAT

The Mission Encouragement Trust retreats, 2012 - 2015, are open to single and married Christian missionaries who share our heart for the encouragement and support of their fellow missionaries. We may also offer places to local church people who serve in some mission capacity within their church. There is a registration process which begins with an enquiry to: Mintie Nel (MET Director)OfficeMET@aol.com

We are so sorry but we will not have facilities for children.

REGISTRATION

Following an enquiry we will send you an invitation letter, an information document and a registration form as email attachments. Before making an application it is very important that each person takes time to read ALL the information and understands the requirements.

With the completed registration form we need , a recent photo in .jpeg format, and a letter / email of recommendation from a mission or church leader.

Each application will be considered carefully, and an acceptance letter will follow once the applicant has sent us all that we have requested. The acceptance letter can be used to apply for a visa for the country where the retreat is held, if required. Your place is only secured once we have received your deposit of £75/ $120 / Euro 95.

Each applicant will be responsible for their deposit payment and the cost of travel to and from the retreat location.

SPONSORSHIP

For full-time missionaries MET seeks to raise the rest of the retreat fee (sponsorship) among MET supporters, sending churches, and mission organisations. We believe strongly in the partnership between the home-sending church, supporters and mission agencies. If a missionary is able to make a contribution toward their costs, over and above the required deposit fee, MET welcomes their heart to give. Local church representatives will be expected to raise their own support to attend the "Cross-centred Care" retreats. Sponsorship rates are listed on our giving page.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

It should be noted that if a visa is required application should be made early, and it is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that they have at least 6 months to run on their passport at the time of leaving for the retreat.

There is always a deadline for application and it is important  to note that MET retreats are very popular and places are taken quickly. Therefore it is within your interest to apply ASAP, ensuring that we have all the information we have asked for.
